This week’s IllustrationFriday topic was worn. Last week I had a sleeping dog and this week I have a worn out turtle. I don’t know if I’m subconsciously trying to say something or if it is just a coincidence. Anyway, I created this little guy in Adobe Illustrator. Enjoy!

This week’s IllustrationFriday topic was drifting. It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve gotten an illustration done for IllustrationFriday. Note to self: Stop being so lazy! Speaking of lazy, I drew this little dog drifting off to sleep for the topic. That was a pretty sweet segue. And to think, my English teacher said I would never amount to anything. OK, so she never said that, but my Science teacher did call me lazy. Oh, speaking of lazy…

I hit the $10,000 mark last week, so I got a little bump in my earnings at Shutterstock. I can’t say it is going to be a huge increase in my earnings, but every little bit helps. It was also nice to see that Shutterstock includes all your earnings (referrals, on demand, etc.) to calculate the total. The only downside is that I no longer have some higher earnings level to attain. I guess I’ll just have to wait for Shutterstock to increase royalties or prices for my next raise. Fingers crossed.

This month was pertty good overall. It wasn’t as impressive as last month, but it was still up from earlier in the year. I’m still uploading like a maniac, so that may have something to do with it. Here’s the breakdown:
Check back next month for my June numbers. I’m experimenting with a few other microstock sites and Veer Marketplace opens up to contributors on June 8th. Hopefully, one of my experiments will make a new income source for me.
