Microstock Earnings December
Posted on January 1, 2008 | Category :Business of Illustration | 2 Comments
It’s the beginning of the month, so it is time to talk stock earnings again. December was a crazy month for stock art. For me, it started out great, then sales were nonexistent at the end of the month. Overall, it was a disappointing month, but I’m excited about the new year. January and February were some of my best months last year. Here is the breakdown of my earnings:
Shutterstock – 37%
iStockphoto – 32%
Dreamstime – 18.5%
StockXpert – 8.5%
Big Stock Photo – 2%
Fotolia – 2%

Do you use the same photos/images on all the sites? I’m quite curious about all this. I’m just beginning to look into the whole realm of talking images I do (mostly 3D) and selling them via stock sites.
thanks…
Yes, I do. Some sites allow you to sell your images exclusive on their site for a higher royalty. In my opinion, you’ll make more selling the same images on many sites as opposed to opting for a higher royalty on one site. -Cory
